		<description>Hello Everyone,

A short addendum to our snapshot of the lower tiers of global supply chains. Electronic Design News reported today that the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) indicated that worldwide semiconductor sales were $23.1 billion in March, second only to record sales reported in November of 2007.

Today Q1 industry sales were $69.2 billion compared with $43.2 billion in the year ago quarter.

The industry however is expecting 2010 year-on-year gowth to moderate going forward as supply catches up with demand.
